- His forename, Carab, is derived from アクラブ (read as "Akurabu"), which, in turn, is the Japanese pronunciation of Acrab, and, his surname, Tanres, is derived from アンタレス (read as "Antaresu"), which, in turn, is the Japanese pronunciation of Antares.
- Due to a bug related to his importance as an event character in the story, if Carab is recruited before clearing the game, he is treated as a key character and cannot be let go until the post-game.
