After leaving the school, Endou and Tamagorou notice a lady getting robbed by a motorbiker. Endou tries to catch the motorbiker but Tamagorou tries to prevent him. A mysterious boy snatches the soccer ball from Tamagorou and kicks it at the motorbiker, successfully stopping him in his tracks.
Tamagorou and Endou are amazed by this, and Endou asks him to join Raimon right away. The mysterious boy, however, says he isn't interested in soccer. After he leaves, Tamagorou reveals the mysterious boy is the renowkned soccer player, Gouenji Shuuya, who Teikoku Gakuen has had an eye for. Endou is then determined to recruit Gouenji.
After a series of failed attempts at recruiting Gouenji, Gouenji gets aggravated and kicks a ball towards Endou. Endou, however, stops the ball with his head and arms, shocking Gouenji.
