Info[]

In the second and last match between Raimon and The Genesis[1], Gouenji and Fubuki deflected Gran, Ulvida, and Wheeze's Supernova following Tachimukai's Mugen The Hand G2 with a combined volley, making the ball briefly spin in the air with both fire and ice. Thereafter, Gouenji and Fubuki created it and used it, quickly getting past Nero and successfully scoring Raimon's third goal. Shortly afterwards, Megane gave the technique its name.

In the match between Raimon and Dark Emperors[2], Gouenji and Fubuki used it, breaking through Takeshi's Double Rocket and successfully scoring Raimon's second goal.

In the match between Inazuma Japan and Orpheus[3], Gouenji and Fubuki used it, quickly getting past Blasi and successfully scoring Inazuma Japan's first goal.

In the match between Erabareta 11nin and Dark Angel[4], Gouenji and Fubuki used Crossfire 改 to try to score, but it was stopped by Astaroth's The End V2.

Usage[]

One user cloaks themselves in a fiery veil while the other cloaks themselves in an icy veil, running towards each other with their bodies leaned forward and their arms reeled to their backs. Once they cross paths, each of their energy cloaks disperse and the ball gets lifted into the air as both users spin into each other's former sides, covering their surroundings with fleeting swirls of their energy veils. They then volley the ball simultaneously, making the Earth briefly appear behind them and covering the ball with both fire and ice, coming back into reality as it viciously spins towards the goal.

Trivia[]

  • In the opening of the Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryakusha games, Crossfire was used by Gouenji and Fubuki (in his Chara Change form), despite it lacking any relevancy in the plot of the game.
    • However, this can be seen as a mere clash of their personalities as it ends up in an explosion once they cross paths.
  • In the Inazuma Eleven Nintendo DS games, there are two different manuals for Crossfire to cater to both of its elements, Wind and Fire respectively.
    • In Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryakusha, Wind Crossfire is exclusive to Blizzard while Fire Crossfire is exclusive to Fire.
  • In the Inazuma Eleven Nintendo DS games, if the user is Wind, the partner is required to be Fire to perform Wind Crossfire whereas if the user is Fire, the partner is required to be Wind to perform Fire Crossfire.
  • It is one of the hissatsu techniques to have two different elements in the same game with no visual changes.
    • It shares this trait with Fire Blizzard and Shadow Ray.
  • In the English localization of the Inazuma Eleven anime, when it's used in its V2 stage[4], it's said as Cross Fire Remastered despite its typography showing otherwise.
