Amidst Shadow and Takeshi's training[1], Shadow used it, breaking through Takeshi's Shoot Pocket and successfully scoring a goal. Shortly afterwards, Takeshi noted Dark Tornado had plenty of power, but Shadow wasn't content, asking to try it once more. With Takeshi's approval, Shadow used it again, quickly getting past Takeshi and successfully scoring a goal, impressing Endou who was watching from afar.
In the match between Dark Emperors and Raimon[2], Shadow used it, breaking through Tsunami and Kogure's combined bodily defense and propelling them directly towards Tachimukai, successfully scoring Dark Emperors' first goal. Shadow used it twice again to try to score[3], but it was deflected by Tsunami and Ichinose's bodily defense respectively, injuring both of them in the process.
In the match between B Team and A Team[5], Shadow used 真 Dark Tornado to try to score, but it was stopped by Endou's 真 Ijigen The Hand, going out of bounds in the process.

Usage[]
The user jumps into the air and spins clockwise, with their legs surrounded by a stream of dark purple flames. Once they close in on the ball, they get ready with their body in a horizontal position as the dark purple flames gathers on their left foot. The ball is then set ablaze as they kick it, leaving a stream of dark purple flames as it heads towards the goal.
In the main line games, different to Fire Tornado, the camera angle changes slightly when the user jumps and shoots the ball, being a bit diagonal for the former and focusing on the ball heading towards the camera rather than the goal on the latter.
In the English localization of the Inazuma Eleven anime, when it's used in its 真 stage[5], its evolutionary stage is omitted when said aloud.
