Info[]
It is created in episode 25 by Tsurugi and Tenma. They planned to use it against Hakuren, but the ground of the Snowland Stadium was frozen solid. However, the team of Raimon was able to get past this obstacle of constantly slipping on the ice by "streaking" across the ice.
They were able to use Double Wing in episode 26, but it could not get past Hakuren's hissatsu tactic, Zettai Shouheki. Even using it several times in the same episode, Zettai Shouheki always managed to block it.
Finally, in episode 27, with the help of Nishiki Ryouma (though it still failed with Nishiki) and Kageyama Hikaru (which was successful), Raimon completed the tactics and was able to break through Hakuren's Zettai Shouheki.
After Raimon won the Holy Road, the team watched a special program that was commemorated to them on TV, showcasing their hissatsu, keshin and tactics they used and the opponents and their moves they faced during the tournament.
Usage[]
The tactic requires six users, making a formation with two users in the back and four in the front. The two users in the back rapidly pass the ball to each other while running forward, with the 4 users in front covering them. As the passing of the ball grows quicker, yellow flames begin to form around the users in the shape of two adjacent arrows or wings, eventually covering them entirely. By passing the ball quickly, between two users, the opponents won't be able to tell which side the ball is, effectively allowing the users to bypass the enemy defense if the pass is quick enough.

Trivia[]
- This hissatsu tactic was named by Kageyama Hikaru and completed by him.
- This was first called Run Run Running by Kariya Masaki and then everyone said that the name is lame and started laughing as nobody accepted it. Hikaru renamed it to Double Wing, to which Tenma and Shinsuke agreed on.
- In the game, the 'wings' are blue instead of yellow.
- Double Wing was created as a counter Zettai Shouheki, because two users would pass the ball back and forth so quickly, that Hakuren wouldn't be able to tell which side to move to and stop Raimon from advancing forward with the ball.
