The Devil of the Field (フィールドの悪魔(あくま), Fīrudo no Akuma) is the second episode of the Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin anime.

Summary[]

The match between Inakuni Raimon and Seishou Gakuen continued, with Haizaki Ryouhei starting the Death Zone with his teammates. The shot easily got past the members of Inakuni Raimon, and scored the equalizing goal. It is only now that Inakuni finally realised the strength of Seishou Gakuen. Will they be able to withstand the onslaught of Seishou Gakuen?

Plot[]

The episode starts with Seishou's Death Zone scoring the tying goal. Raimon team is discouraged by Seishou's speed and power and are having hard time keeping up.

Time jumps backwards to their arrival to Raimon. They are confronted by Anna and her gang. She says she will evaluate their matches to find if they are worthy of Raimon's name. She also informs them of their opponent - Seishou Gakuen and of their striker - Haizaki Ryouhei. After she leaves, Ootani Tsukushi comes to greet Inakuni's members. She leads them to Raimon's principal Hirai Shinzou who informs them about last year's team effort to strengthen Japan. They then meet their new coach Zhao Jinyun and trainer Kameda Yukinori. They gave them Raimon's uniforms and Tsukushi gives them Eleven Bands. After that, coach summons them and gives them their training plan for the following week. After a day of hard training, they went to Kogarashi Manor and met Kazeaki Yone.

Time returns to present match and Raimon is losing 1-5 to Seishou. During a match, the flashback of Haizaki and Kidou Yuuto talking in the showers is shown. Kidou asks Haizaki to play in the following game to find a light. After flashback, the match is resumed and Haizaki scores 4 more goals. Raimon is hopeless, and Haizaki decides to show them his hissatsu technique - Overhead Penguin and scores the goal. The match ends 1-10 with Seishou's win.

After the match, Raimon's members decide to visit Tokyo Sunshine Tower to cheer up, but Asuto starts crying after realising he can't play soccer anymore, and whole team starts crying. Then, they are interrupted by the CEO of Island Kankou, Shimabukuro Ikutarou. He tells them they inspired him to sponsor Raimon so they can continue playing soccer, and Asuto realises that the coaches training menu was to meant to help them keep soccer after all. The episode ends with Zhao's laughter.
