He proceeds to outline that training will involve a more practical approach, whereby he intends to divide the team into offence and defence, to conduct match like scenarios. Tenma specifies that it will put particular emphasis on movement. Tenma observes that the team are progressively improving and becoming a single, unified unit and body. Tenma and Aoi reflect on the day's training and therefore events, commenting on the team's improvement, Tenma declares at his own proclamation that they will be able to oppose and fight against the world. Shindou interjects contesting Tenma's statement, exclaiming that in spite of any improvement they remain beginners. Tenma outlines that Matatagi's speed and Sakura's pass were integral to and contributed to the equaliser in the Korea fixture and the winning goal in the Australia fixture. Ibuki also making a save during the prior fixture against Australia. Shindou outlines that the above are of no object due to Konoha, Minaho and Manabe's abilities being unknown and Kusaka being unable to intercept a pass. Tenma attempts to issue a response being unable to do so. Shindou concludes the conversation by exclaiming that Tenma's underestimated the world's abilities.
In the aftermath of the above, Tenma is depicted on his bed, reiterating Shindou's statement. He proceeds to leave the facility, presumably for fresh air. Kusaka appears to be training in which he exclaims that "he'll protect them", Tenma being pleased and in awe of his efforts.

He was a delinquent when he attended school, described as being the baddest of the bad, typically he has the kind face of a Buddha but once he loses his temper, he changes into a demon. The "ryuu" character acted as the inspiration and source of a nickname the dragon with two faces. He was contracted on the grounds that his peers be reinstated at the school.
