Appearance[]

Hephais has brown skin and long, wavy purple hair. He wears a grey headband and his eyes are light grey in colour.

Personality[]

Just like most members of the Zeus team, he depends on the Aqua of Gods that was given to him by Kageyama Reiji. It also displays how obedient the team is to Kageyama by following his orders. Though, after losing to Raimon, he, along with his team, doesn't use it again because he learns the importance of playing fair soccer.

Plot[]

Zeus played against Teikoku Gakuen, which they won with 10-0.

Hephais first appeared in episode 23, where he, and the other members of Zeus, drank the Aqua of Gods.

He appeared as a defender for Zeus in episode 25. His team played against Raimon in Football Frontier finals. In the end, they lost with 3-4.

Trivia[]

  • His surname, Hepai, and nickname, Hephais, are both derived from ヘーパイストス (read as "Heepaisutosu"), which, in turn, is the Japanese pronunciation of Hephaestus, the Greek God of fire, metalworking and technology, a reference to Zeus' naming motif.
    • Incidentally, his forename, En, means flame, a further reference to Hephaestus.
  • In Inazuma Eleven GO Strikers 2013, fully voiced lines from game files indicate he was planned to have Dash Storm in his moveset but, ultimately, ended up being unused.
