Appearance[]
Hosoi is tall and skinny, he has fair skin and brown hair. He has black, dotted eyes and wears blue-framed glasses. He wears a dark brown suit with an unbuttoned blazer and a light blue shirt underneath.
Personality[]
He serves as a contrast to Saitou Ganseki. He shows a similar overconfidence when he believes his team is going to win and doesn't accept when their plans don't work and the opposite team is in the lead, but he gets scared rather than hot-headed like Saitou. He's the less talkative of the two, mostly just talking when he agrees with something. He also has a higher-pitched voice.
Plot[]
Hosoi was very excited admitting to the coach Saitou Ganseki that the Raimon's eleven was no longer as good as before and they didn't even try to attack, just looking at the wall. He also agreed that it was a great idea to play with them a little. Hosoi praised Saitou Ganseki for predicting the movements of his players, wiping his hands with joy and excitement. He was very happy when the coach said that Raimon felt an ever greater anxiety and would surely attack, then it would be a perfect moment for Minodouzan to strike. During the second half of the game Hosoi was getting nervous, why Raimon wasn't attacking. It was logical when you saw the fortress, you wanted to break through. Right after the coach gave a signal to attack, which Hosoi accepted with enthusiasm. Then he said that no one would defeat this fortress. When Ugou Sarukichi was blocked by Iwato Takashi's technique The Wall, Hosoi was in a huge shock, barely able to say a few words.
