• His name, Ka Genkou, and, subsequently, nickname, Kakouton, are both derived from 夏侯惇 (read as "Kakou Ton"), which, in turn, is the Japanese pronunciation of Xiahou Dun, a Chinese military general and politician who served Cao Cao.
  • Incidentally, the Kanji character for "Gen", 元, in his forename is derived from 元譲 (read as "Genjou"), which, in turn, is the Japanese pronunciation of Yuanrang, Xiahou Dun's courtesy name.
