Acquirement[]

Inazuma Eleven GO Strikers 2013
  • Reach level 3 Awakening on .

Usage[]

The user comes to a sudden halt and closes both of their eyes, quickly getting into position and crossing their arms, making a vicious deep blue whirlpool swirl below their feet. As the surrounding area turns hazy, a water butte abruptly arises underneath them, making the ball follow suit and spring itself into the air. Once they reach their desired altitude, the water butte turns into a white-eyed water dragon, gripping the ball with its fangs and covering it in a veil of turquoise energy. The dragon then dives onto the field below, briskly hitting their opponent and blowing them away as it undulates ahead, with the user unwaveringly standing atop its head, successfully getting past them.

Trivia[]

  • Part of its name, Kuroshio, is a reference to the eponymous north-flowing current from the east coast of Japan that merges with the Oyashio Current to form the North Pacific Current, a reference to Sakamoto's ideal of forming a bridge between America and Japan.
    • Interestingly, the dragon on Kuroshio Ride is a reference to the Kanji character for "Ryou," 龍, in Sakamoto's name, Sakamoto Ryouma, meaning dragon.
      • Part of its dub name, Black Tide, is the literal translation of "Kuroshio", which is also a reference to Sakamoto's ideal.
