Norika revealed her new hissatsu during the match between Inakuni Raimon and Hakuren. After multiple failed attempts to stop shoots with Uzumaki The Hand, Norika recalled her training she did in Inabikari Shuurenjou to develop a new hissatsu that was able to stop stronger shoots. She then also recalled some memories she had when she was younger and with all that, she was able to stop Triple Blizzard from the Fubuki brothers and Shiratoya Nae with Mermaid Veil.

Later, Norika used it again, after Kira Hiroto broke through Iwato Takashi's The Wall with his The Explosion. Because Iwato weakened the shot, Norika was able to stop The Explosion with Mermaid Veil. When Midorikawa got through on goal, he used Astro Break, but Norika managed to stop it with her Mermaid Veil. During the second half, she managed to stop The Explosion with Mermaid Veil all by herself. During the final moments of the match, she faced Kira Hiroto and Kiyama Tatsuya's new combination technique, Cosmic Blaster. With the combined effort by Norika, Asuto and Kozoumaru, they were able to stop Cosmic Blaster with Mermaid Veil.
During the last minute of the match between Inakuni Raimon and Tonegawa Tousen, Norika used her Mermaid Veil to stop a last effort Tenryuu easily. Norika used this technique once again during the Football Frontier finals against Outei Tsukinomiya. While Nosaka Yuuma's King's Lance was already weakened a little by Iwato's The Wall, Norika still failed to stop the shoot with King's Lance easily getting passed Mermaid Veil, making the score 1-2 to Outei Tsukinomiya. During the second half, Nosaka fired King's Lance again towards Norika's goal. Norika tried stopping it with Mermaid Veil, but the technique was too strong for her. Right as she was about to give in to the technique, Haizaki told her to go down, and he kicked the shot away.
Norika used this technique during the match between Inazuma Japan and Perfect Spark. She used this technique instead of a new technique, as she felt the new technique went against her pride. She faced Froy Girikanan's Innocent Drive, but failed to stop it. This made the score 1-0 for the Russians.
