Appearance[]
Mizukamiya has pale skin and is tall. He has short neck-length wavy hair with a side parting and a bang coming from it and reaching between his eyes. His hair is pale blue and fades into dark blue at the bottom. His eyes have purple irises with a pale blue outer ring, and his pupils are black and vertical. He also has three eyelashes below his eyes and pale blue eyebrows.
Personality[]
Mizukamiya is quite calm and friendly most of the time. However, as friendly rivals with Haizaki, the two of them make sarcastic, snarky yet good-natured comments toward each other. Like most of his teammates, when playing on the field, he feels very ambitious about winning. Mizukamiya is intelligent and capable of forming complex tactics in short timeframes, based on past analysis and critical thinking, making him a capable leader.
Plot[]
Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin[]
Mizukamiya played as the captain of Seishou Gakuen against Inakuni Raimon in their first Kanto match. They quickly conceded a goal because of Kozoumaru Sasuke's Fire Tornado. They thought Inakuni Raimon didn't have a hissatsu technique, so they were very surprised. After that goal, they started playing seriously and they dominated the rest of the match, scoring multiple goals, ending in a 1-10 victory for Seishou Gakuen's favor.
In episode 5, Mizukamiya was forced to resolve a clash between his teammates, who were concerned that Haizaki Ryouhei skipping matches would affect the team's practice. However, Mizukamiya opted to keep allowing Haizaki to do as he pleased, albeit not without leaving him some parting words and questioning why Haizaki played soccer in the first place. Seishou Gakuen would then take on Kidokawa Seishuu in the Football Frontier, where Haizaki would be positioned as goalkeeper. Mizukamiya questioned Kudou's motives on this tactical decision, believing that the coach had intentionally set up Haizaki to fail, but his questions went unanswered and he begun playing the match. Although Seishou Gakuen were initially facing a 2-0 deficit, Mizukamiya and Kidou's were able to teach Haizaki about the importance of co-operation, and Haizaki returned the favor by perfectly setting up Mizukamiya to block one of Kidokawa Seishuu's shots with his hissatsu technique, Zone of Pentagram. Through an orchestrated comeback in the final ten minutes, Mizukamiya's team went on to win the match 3-2.
In episode 12, Seishou Gakuen are seen facing Inakuni Raimon for the second time, after both of their respective opponents withdrew. Mizukamiya played a fairly small role in the match, and was not seen using a hissatsu technique, but was nevertheless verbally encouraging towards Haizaki. Mizukamiya's main involvement came when Raimon started to mount their comeback and score the first goal - whilst Inamori Asuto was running towards the goal, Mizukamiya pushed him back and injured Asuto's foot. However, this did not stop Kozoumaru from scoring with Fire Tornado, and Asuto continued to play out the entire match. Ultimately over the course of a long match, Mizukamiya became exhausted after being tricked into concentrating his efforts on blocking Asuto, and Seishou Gakuen lost the match 5-4. Nevertheless, Mizukamiya's team were congratulatory in defeat, and advanced to the Football Frontier national finals regardless.
Starting in episode 14, Mizukamiya and his team faced Outei Tsukinomiya in the first round of the national finals, with Seishou Gakuen being declared the tournament favourites. However, the match starts poorly for Seishou Gakuen, conceding three goals to the team captained by Nosaka Yuuma. Despite this deficit, Mizukamiya worked directly with Kidou to form a plan of defence and prevent Outei Tsukinomiya from scoring additional goals. This carried on into the late stages of the match, where Nosaka elected to begin the special tactic Grid Omega, which seriously injured the entirety of Seishou Gakuen. As a result, the team forfeited the match and Mizukamiya's team was eliminated from the Football Frontier nationals at this early stage.
Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin[]
Mizukamiya was present at the ceremony where the members of Inazuma Japan were announced, where he sat in the stands with Orio Fuyuki. Mizukamiya shared his belief that Zhao Jinyun would not show bias towards Raimon players in selecting his team. However, Mizukamiya was not selected to join Inazuma Japan at this stage, leaving only Haizaki Ryouhei and Kidou Yuuto to represent Seishou Gakuen.
After Inazuma Japan made it past the Asia Preliminaries, Haizaki Ryouhei visited Seishou Gakuen and Mizukamiya greeted him in Episode 21. He informed Haizaki that the team has changed the playing style to a team play which attacks in groups, instead of depending on Haizaki like before. Mizukamiya reaffirms Haizaki that he will be returning to Seishou Gakuen after the FFI has concluded, and he jokes that he wants to adopt the nickname "the devil of the field's master".
After Inazuma Japan had qualified for the knockout stages of the FFI, Mizukamiya became the fifth new member of Inazuma Japan, in Episode 39. He was greeted mainly by Haizaki, who could not think of a name to address Mizukamiya by now that "captain" was no longer applicable. Mizukamiya took part in a five-a-side practice match where he took a shot at Umihara Norika, but was easily blocked. However, after Endou Mamoru blocked an Over Cyclone from Kozoumaru Sasuke, Mizukamiya scored a goal with Koutei Penguin 2gou alongside Haizaki and Kazemaru Ichirouta. The three agreed that this move would not be powerful enough for the world level, however, and considered how they could improve it ahead of the next match. Within the same episode, Mizukamiya traveled to Moscow Route Bay Main Stadium with his team to play against France, but won the match by default after the French team were given food poisoning and could not play.
Mizukamiya instead made his tournament debut against Olé de Samba in Episode 40, the Brazilian team which he had researched extensively ahead of the match by watching all of their tournament matches up to this point. He remained composed as he entered the field, joking with Haizaki that his only worry is seeing Haizaki benched before he can score a goal. When Mizukamiya first makes a play, he fails to block Miguel from running up the pitch, which soon leads to Arthur scoring a goal against Nishikage Seiya. This prompts Mizukamiya to devise a plan that would "destroy Brazil". This would not come into effect until later on - firstly Mizukamiya uses Zone of Pentagram to deflect a shot from Miguel, although this largely does not impede Olé de Samba's progress. Soon after, Mizukamiya and Kiyama Tatsuya jump in to help Nishikage perform the three-player goalkeeping move, KAMAKURA D, successfully blocking Death Samba. It is at this point Mizukamiya initiates his plan, advising Inazuma Japan to use their "foosball tactics" to conserve their stamina while leading Olé de Samba to believe the team were playing for fun. When Olé de Samba break through to the back end, Mizukamiya instead initiates Jiraigen to impede the Brazilian team and allow Kira Hiroto to steal the ball and score a goal with Cosmic Blaster to level the scores. After this, Olé de Samba start to use underhanded tactics under guidance from Bernard Girikanan, and despite Mizukamiya attempting to block another Death Samba with a kick, the first half ends with Brazil winning 2-1.
To recover from this deficit, Mizukamiya suggests a new plan at half time, namely to fool Brazil into thinking that Inazuma Japan is using underhanded tactics in the same way as the Disciples of Orion. Mizukamiya started this plan by teaming up with Goujin Tetsunosuke to make a play that resulted in Samuel tripping, after which Mizukamiya flashed a roll of wire which led the Brazilian players to believe Mizukamiya had used illegal means to commit a foul play. In actuality, Mizukamiya never used the wire, nor did any of the other Inazuma Japan players brandishing fake tools, such as Haizaki's jar of oil and Fubuki Atsuya's glistening cleats which resembled the spiked boots used by other Disciples of Orion. Brazil's fear of Inazuma Japan potentially cheating or threatening to cause harm eventually leads to Atsuya scoring a goal to make the score 2-2, another successful outcome of Mizukamiya's strategising. In reality, Mizukamiya's main ambition was to stir up the true feelings of Olé de Samba's players, who did not want to abide by Orion's unfair means, with Mizukamiya telling his team that he's "used to dealing with guys who aren't honest with themselves", referring to Haizaki. It would be Haizaki who scolds Mizukamiya after he lets a refreshed and fairly-playing Miguel dribble past him, but the rest of the match plays out fairly between the two evenly matched teams, with both Inazuma Japan and Olé de Samba scoring another goal each. In the final three minutes, Haizaki's Shark The Deep breaks past Macero and his goalkeeping hissatsu Macaroni Spaghetti Sauce Zouryou, although it was pushed off course and Arthur jumped in to block the shot. Mizukamiya foresaw this and ran up the pitch to edge the ball into the goal with a low diving header just moments before Arthur could reach it. Mizukamiya had scored the fourth and final goal for Inazuma Japan, who won the match and advanced to the semi-finals.
Mizukamiya also played for the duration of Inazuma Japan's match against Guardians of Queen, the Italian team. After initially failing to block a charge from Alice Berardi, Mizukamiya made his main contribution by shooting Koutei Penguin 2gou feat. Shark alongside Haizaki, set up by Kazemaru Ichirouta. The shot is able to break through Gabriella Amati and her move Shinjitsu no Ooguchi, but Petronio Patti dives in to stop the ball from breaking into the goal. When the match is paused due to a downpour of rain, Mizukamiya agrees to a plan by Nosaka Yuuma to make the Italian team self-destruct by leading them into dangerous plays and take damage from their muscle-enhancing supporters, but this plan is vetoed by Asuto. Due to this, Mizukamiya's role in the remainder of the match was fairly minimal - Matteo Domenico would twice break past Mizukamiya to use Bousou Chariot, and Mizukamiya's planned involvement in starting a Grid Omega was prevented by Guardians of Queen instead using Grid Omega themselves. Haizaki was able to save Mizukamiya from taking significant injury during his fall, and Mizukamiya would play for the remainder of the match, but was only seen to lose possession to a tackle from Petronio and otherwise played no part in the final outcome, a win by default for Inazuma Japan once Guardians of Queen were too injured to continue the match they held a lead in.
Mizukamiya was not fielded to play in the Grand Final against Russia, nor was he selected to join Zhao Jinyuns for the match against Shadow of Orion. Nevertheless, Mizukamiya spectated the proceedings, including his own hissatsu technique Koutei Penguin 2gou feat. Shark being carried out by Kidou, Fudou and Haizaki. The match was won by Zhao Jinyuns, and Inazuma Japan would also defeat Russia in the final when it was restarted one week later. Mizukamiya returned to Seishou Gakuen alongside Kidou and Haizaki, with the three posing for photos to celebrate their international victory. Seishou Gakuen would compete in the Football Frontier Autumn Tournament under Mizukamiya's captaincy, this being his final appearance in the season.
