Plot

He appeared with Kibayama Douzan, Rinno Fujiko, Hikita Koushirou, Ookazeya Giichi and Gojou Masaru in Inazuma Eleven GO the Movie: The Ultimate Bonds Gryphon.

He replaced Hebino Makito as Zero's goalkeeper. He tried to stop the shoot chain created by Koutei Penguin 2gou and Eternal Blizzard by using his catch hissatsu technique, Gravity Point, but the shoot changed direction and released Aoi from the cell where she was imprisoned.

He later failed to stop Shindou's and Tsurugi's Joker Rains using his catch hissatsu. Later, he was switched with Hebino again.

Inazuma Eleven GO

In order to recruit Mutou, Zero has to be defeated first in the post-game.
Also, the following requirements are needed:

• Player: Hikita Koushirou
• Item: Young Boy Soccer Law Article 5 (少年サッカー法第5条, randomly dropped from either Heaven of Eden [S] or Hell of Eden [D] at Kousaka Yukie's upper taisen route)
• Item: Zero Glove (ゼログローブ, randomly dropped from Zero in Kisaragi Mako's upper taisen route)
• Manual: Shoot Break

After this, he can be scouted by an amount of 2800 Yuujou points.

Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone

In order to recruit Mutou, The Lagoon has to be defeated first in the story mode.
Also, the following requirements are needed:

• Item: Manual for First-time Coaches (はじめてのコーチ入門, randomly dropped from No Enemies (ノーエネミーズ) at the top of Chaos Tower)
• Topic: Buddha Statue (仏像の話題, obtained in the Bakumatsu era)

After this, he can be scouted by an amount of 1400 Yuujou points.
