His team lost in the Football Frontier preliminaries finals against Raimon by a score of 1-2. In the Nationals, his team was crushed by Zeus with a score of 10-0 and he was sent to hospital to heal his injuries like his other teammates.

He appeared along with his teammates to have a practice match against Raimon so Kidou, Endou and Domon could master Death Zone and to create Death Zone 2.
Season 3[]
Later, in season 3, he joined Neo Japan and had a match against Inazuma Japan but they lost. He was seen watching Raimon's graduation match with the rest of Teikoku Gakuen.
He once again played with his team in the Football Frontier against Inakuni Raimon. After Shimerigawa ordered the defenders to stop Raimon's shoots when all of them tried to attack at the same time, Narukami, along with Oono and Banjou started to act as a real defensive wall, blocking most Raimon's normal shoots with their bodies. However, after using Inabikari Dash to get past Kazemaru, Asuto scored with a normal shoot, ending the first half with 2-0 for Inakuni Raimon. In the end, his team lost with a score of 3-4.
