Passive Skill (パッシブスキル, Passhibu Sukiru, dub: Passive Skills), also known as Team Passive (チームパッシブ, Chīmu Passhibu, dub: Team Passives), are a game mechanic introduced in Inazuma Eleven Eiyuutachi no Victory Road. They provide passive bonuses during matches, replacing skills from previous entries.
As of the beta trial version of Victory Road, each player and coach come with a total of five passive effects, which unlock as their Rarity is increased. Additionally, some passive effects may be caused through the use of Hissatsu tactics and Super Tactics, such as increased dribble speed. Passive effects on benched characters will not have any effect, unless they are in the team's Leader (dub: Manager) slot.
When viewing the team's formation during a match or in the team dock, a summary of all passive effects currently active on the team can be shown by pressing X on Nintendo Switch. During play, passive effects can also be viewed at the bottom-left of the screen, provided its active in the settings, which shows all of the passives effecting the controlled player.
In the final release of the game, it is said that passives will be freely editable in the Abilear Board (アビラーボード, Abirā Bōdo; dub: Abilearn Board).
List of Passive Skills[]
The following is a list of all Passive Skills currently in the game, and the players who possess them by default, organised by their build type.
Knockout[]
The following Passive Skills are classified under the Knockout (ひっさつ, Hissatsu) build type.
Note: The Defensive Wall pierce rate Passive Skill is not classified as being Knockout build in the 1.1.0 update. However, its placement within the Team Parameters menu in the previous version, alongside its newly incorrect icon, would indicate this Passive Skill's information is bugged, hence its inclusion here.
Tension[]
The following Passive Skills are classified under the Tension (テンション, Tenshon) build type.
Interestingly, Passive Skill's implementation bears some resemblance to how skills function in Inazuma Eleven SD, being separate from the player's moveset and requiring a certain rank or rating to be unlocked.
