Reinaldo Baraja (レイナルド・バラハ, Reinarudo Baraha) is a defender for Muteki no Giant.
Appearance[]
Reinaldo's appearance is somewhat like a tomato. His hair is olive green and hangs down his red headband, which has a green star. His eyebrows are olive green as well. He has brown eyes with little white pupils and earrings in the shapes of tomatoes.
Plot[]
During the European qualifiers for the Football Frontier International, Reinaldo played but got injured at his right leg. His tournament and world cup dreams were most likely over but an Orion agent and Girikanan offered him a special treatment that would make him able to heal faster and to participate to the main tournament. In exchange, Reinaldo would become a Disciple of Orion. He later accepted the deal.
He came back in time to took part to the main tournament and was in the starting eleven of Spain for the first match of Group A against Inazuma Japan. Playing in defense, he tackled Haizaki Ryouhei first to steal the ball before dribbling Hiura Kirina and offering a pass to Clario Orvan. The captain then proceeded to dribble Japan's defense and score the first goal against Endou Mamoru. Definitely inform, he later stopped Fudou Akio who was going towards the goal then making a good long pass to Luther Fandam. Despite a series of pass and dribbles, Spain couldn't score a second time thanks to Endou's new hissatsu, Diamond Hand. While being happy about being inform and fit, Reinaldo received an order from Orion. While the exact instruction was unknown, Reinaldo started to rush towards Inamori Asuto in order to hurt him. Clario Orvan remarked a blue dust coming from his run and told Reinaldo to stop but couldn't do anything. Fubuki Shirou, who observed what was going on, used Ice Ground on Asuto. The ball went out and players could see the blue dust on the field. Clario talked to Reinaldo in order to know why he joined Orion. Reinaldo explained, pretty shameful, that his dream was to participate and to win the world cup at all costs, even if that meant to join the Orion Foundation. Clario, furious and ashamed, was disappointed by Reinaldo behaviour and after Velasco Meléndez's throw-in, the captain used Diamond Ray to hurt the defender. Reinaldo didn't even try to escape and got injured by the shot. He was replaced by Fabio Esteve. After that, Clario swore to carry Reinaldo's world cup dream.
