Skills (スキル, Sukiru) are a game mechanic introduced in Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryakusha that provide certain passive effects to its users. As of Inazuma Eleven Eiyuutachi no Victory Road, skills have been replaced by Passive Skill.
Info[]
In all games where they appear, skills can be learnt by players, either by levelling up or through using a manual. Unlike standard hissatsu techniques, skills do not require any TP to use, and are active so long as the user is on the field, provided the skill has no additional requirements. While active, skills provide a passive effect to its user or their team. Although most skills take affect during a match or battle, some provide bonuses after the match is over, such as Treasure Hunter increasing the rate that items are dropped, or Kanemochi increasing the Nekketsu Points earned.
Starting from Inazuma Eleven GO, some skills are exclusive to Keshin, activating so long as the Keshin is active. Additionally, with the exception of Mio and Shintou, who learn four skills in the Japanese version, players may only learn a maximum of two skills, with a further two being inheritable through the use of Mixi Max starting from Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone.
In Inazuma Eleven SD, skills are learnt by a figure through the use of Skill Books (スキルブック, Sukiru Bukku) once the figure has reached a rank pre-requisite, starting from Rank. Additionally, alongside the usual skills appearing in main-series games, figures may also learn generic skills that increase their parameters. Figures can have up to a maximum of three special skills, unlocking at , , or respectively, though most figures have only one or two. Unlike other games, skills cannot be overwritten through the use of manuals, and do not appear alongside the standard hissatsu.
