- His forename, Valha, is derived from バルハシ湖 (read as "Baruhashi Ko") which, in turn, means Lake Balkhash, and, his surname, Poropo, is derived from ぽろぽろ (read as "Poroporo"), the Japanese onomatopoeia for flowing tears, references to Sazanaara Eleven's naming motif.
Incidentally, his surname can also be derived from ポオポ湖 (read as "Poopo Ko"), which, in turn, means Lake Poopó.- His dub forename, Plunk, is derived from plink, which is also a reference to Sazanaara Eleven's naming motif.
