Appearance[]
Van has light blue skin and brown eyes. He has short periwinkle hair that is styled in a bob cut, which is tipped pale pink at the ends.
Plot[]
He made his debut in episode 25 talking with Powai Pichori about Matatagi Hayato. After Hilary Flail entered their clubroom, he was shocked when she drained Powai's life force with her hair. He then caught Powai as she was falling, dazed from the shock that Hilary's hair gave her.
In Hilary's flashbacks in episode 26, she recalled Van telling her that an "azur" is seen in the form of an orb of light hovering above a person's head, and their emotions also change the colour of "azur". In the match against Earth Eleven, he used Aqua Breath to stop Matatagi's Hayabusa shoot but failed to do so.
In episode 27, he used Aqua Breath to stop Matatagi's second Hayabusa shoot but failed to catch it again. He couldn't catch Ichikawa Zanakurou's Lion shoot either and in the end, his team lost with a score of 3-2.

Recruitment[]
Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy
In order to recruit Van, Ixal Fleet has to be defeated first in the story mode. Also, the following requirements are needed:
His forename, Van, is derived from ヴァン湖 (read as "Van Ko"), which, in turn, means Lake Van, and his surname, Tareru, is derived from 垂れる (also read as "Tareru"), the Japanese onomatopoeia for drop, references to Sazanaara Eleven's naming motif.
