This technique was first used during the semi-finals between Inakuni Raimon and Tonegawa Tousen. Michinari, Asuto and Kozoumaru used the technique to try and score the winning goal against Endou Mamoru. However, they did not have the technique completed yet. Due to Michinari's determination, they were able to pull it off and fire it towards Endou, who had to use his Fuujin Raijin to cover the left, the right and center of him. However, this was not enough, and Fuujin Raijin was broken, making the score 2-1 for Inakuni Raimon.
Usage[]
The three users kick the ball to each other while standing in a triangle. This creates a whirlwind, which takes the users and the ball up. Inside the whirlwind, the users kick the ball. When the energy of the kick has gone around the ball, they kick the ball out of the whirlwind with triple color rays. The three rays collide and then go right, left and center of the goal.
Its dub name is a pun on the English idiom "with flying colours," meaning to complete a task with particular success.
The colors of Victory Line correspond to each of the users. The red color represents Kozoumaru Sasuke because his element is fire. The green color represents Michinari Tatsumi because his element is wood. The yellow color represents Inamori Asuto because of his sun motif.
This hissatsu bears a resemblance to Jet Stream. Akin to Jet Stream, it was also used by the captain and two forwards (one of them being the team’s ace striker).
The official closed captions for the English dub of Episode 023 spell its dub name as "Flying Colors," using the American spelling of "colours."
